Company PM Excellence took part in the 20th anniversary conference "Project Management 2025and presented key developments: a new direction of EPC contracts, a standard for project portfolio management PM Portfolio and an updated version of the analytical study of management practices for large-scale projects and megaprojects - PM Benchmark 3.0.
As part of the business program, the senior vice president of PM Excellence gave a report Alexander Kutuzov, PME.

Alexander Kutuzov presented an analysis of key risks at the project implementation stage, noting problems of logistics and insufficient qualifications of contractors as the main reasons for missed deadlines and budget overruns.
According to him, in practice there is often a gap between the declared capabilities of EPC contractors and their actual level of management competencies, which leads to unrealistic schedule network models and design solutions.
An increase in the number of customer requests requesting a full-fledged format EPC contractor, especially in the segment of capital construction projects worth from 1 to 30 billion rubles, became the basis for the launch of a new direction of EPC contracts - engineering, supply, construction and management.
The solution is based on many years of experience of the PM Excellence team in supporting large-scale projects and responding to the market request for contractors with strong management expertise.
Vladimir Baranov, PME and Alexey Lunev, PME presented a new version of the study PM Benchmark 3.0. As part of the update, 31 benchmarks were analyzed for projects with a budget of 10 to 100+ billion rubles in capital construction, including management cost parameters, planning time frames, personnel development and motivation, as well as the level of digitalization.

Tatiana Podolskaya, PME, Alexander Ozharovsky and Andrey Matveev presented an updated standard for project portfolio management PM Portfolio. The standard became the third element of the system after PM GUIDE (management of individual projects) and PM GATE (program management) and offers a one-stop approach to portfolio management from strategy to operational level. The standard is based on 12 key processes and clearly defined roles that can be adapted to different types of organizations, industries and the public sector.

Alexander Kochetov, PME Deputy General Director PM Excellence and Vitaly Vlasov, head of the competence center for project control at Gazprom TsPS, presented practical cases of transformation of organizational structures and criteria for selecting the most effective models for managers and project management offices.
