The PM Excellence company has released the PM Benchmark analytical product, which reflects 17 parameters for the effective management of large-scale projects and megaprojects

June 25, 2024 at the international exhibition and forum Russia in the pavilion of the Coordination Center of the Government of the Russian Federation, vice-president of the company PM Excellence, Alexander Kutuzov, PME, presented the company's new analytical product - PM Benchmark.
PM Benchmark is a set of parameters for the effective management of large-scale projects and megaprojects. It is compiled based on interviews with 27 internal and external PM Excellence experts with years of practical experience.
All estimates are given for large-scale projects with development of 10-100, 100-300, 300+ billion rubles, the basis of which is capital construction.
In his speech, Alexander Kutuzov shared research data. In particular, he noted that:

Project management costs should range from 1.97% to 5.29% of the project budget;

The salary of the project manager is from 444 to 1,099 thousand rubles. The size of the bonus to the manager's salary is from 40 to 56%;

The project management team must devote at least 26% of its time to planning processes.
The first wave of the study contains expert assessments of 17 benchmarks. In the future, the number of estimated parameters will expand.
PM Excellence plans to repeat surveys and update versions of PM Benchmark 2 times a year.
