Megaprojects are in the spotlight at the XVIII International Conference "Project Management 2023"

Megaprojects are one of the most important mechanisms for Russia's technological development and strengthening the country's sovereignty.

On December 5, 2023, at the conference, a session dedicated to the management of megaprojects was held for the first time. At the session, Alexander Kutuzov, PME, company leader PM Excellence, founder of the company "PM Expert", author of the Telegram channel "Megaprojects with Kutuzov, presented a standard for managing the implementation of megaprojects - PM GATE:

"There are now more than 200 megaprojects in Russia, so the topic of managing them is expectedly relevant. We need to ensure the technological and managerial sovereignty of our country, and this is impossible without our own standards, which, on the one hand, are based on the best international practices, and on the other hand, take into account Russian experience"

Also at the session, interesting and practical reports were presented from representatives of leading companies: Anton Ushakov - STC Gazprom Neft, Vitaly Stroenko - Gazprom Invest, as well as Alexander Malkov, director of project activities of NTI - ANO NTI Platform. He presented one of the country's breakthrough megaprojects - the development of unmanned aircraft.

The moderator of the session was Pavel Alferov, professor of practice at the Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO.

The topic of managing large-scale projects and megaprojects gave the conference a new powerful impetus for the development of the "Project Management" conference and brought together a record 300+ representatives of top and middle management from leading Russian companies.
