PROJECT

Preparation and holding of the XXII Winter Olympic Games and XI Winter Paralympic Games 2014 in Sochi.

CONTRIBUTION PM EXCELLENCE

PM Excellence specialists made a significant contribution to the organization of planning and coordination of the Organizing Committee in terms of managing cross-functional projects in the preparation and conduct of the Games.

With the active participation of PM Excellence specialists:

1. A methodology for project management of the Organizing Committee has been formed and implemented.

2. Plans have been developed for a program to attract Games volunteers.

3. A technical specification was created and an information system for planning and reporting was implemented.

4. A risk management system has been developed, a primary identification and assessment of the risks of preparing and holding the Games has been carried out.

5. A partner has been selected to insure the risks of preparation and holding of the Games.

6. Planned and organized a program for the relocation of the office and team of Sochi 2014, including the construction of the Organizing Committee offices in Sochi

7. Program plans have been developed and a staff accommodation program has been organized for the preparation and conduct of the Games, including the construction of volunteer camps, the use of sea vessels as floating hotels, and the optimal accommodation of all participants in the preparation and conduct of the Games.
