PM Excellence took part in the LNG Congress 2023

Congress participants discussed the prospects for the development of the LNG market, hydrogen energy and decarbonization of industry and transport based on natural gas, tools for the safe and reliable operation of world-class LNG facilities, ensuring fire safety of LNG production and storage facilities, environmental safety during the operation and reconstruction of LNG facilities, and the creation of import-substituting products for the oil and gas industry.

As part of the LNG Congress, on the first day of the event, at the plenary session "How the largest projects in the LNG industry will develop," PM Excellence expert in managing large-scale projects and megaprojects Alexander Kutuzov spoke, PME.

His report was devoted to technologies for managing priorities in the implementation of large-scale projects. In his speech, Alexander Kutuzov drew attention to the main problems faced by large-scale projects: in most cases, these are difficulties with deadlines and the level of qualifications of the team.

The speaker spoke about practical and working tools in the field of project management from PM Excellence. Using the examples of implemented cases, the audience could evaluate the effect of using tools for managing priorities and deadlines.

"In our practice, the use of such project management tools, as a rapid response and forecasting center, promotion of critical paths, Big picture made it possible to reduce the project delivery timeline by more than 150 days," said Alexander Kutuzov.

The expert also spoke about the release of a short practical guide to project management - PM GUIDE.

The standard has been developed and is based on PM Excellence's extensive 20-year practice of managing large-scale projects and megaprojects. PM GUIDE contains the minimum set of required processes (12 in total) required to manage any project.

The standard clearly shows the process diagram at two levels: the level of the project customer and the level of the project manager. The standard includes purely practical steps and its value has already been noted by qualified project management professionals and the business community.

LNG Congress Russia is an international platform where leaders of the LNG industry from all over the world traditionally gather. Every year, 300+ operators of large-, medium- and small-scale LNG projects (Rosneft, PJSC Gazprom, Gazprom LNG Vladivostok, Gazprom Gas Engine Fuel, Sibir-Energo, Dalgazresurs, TopGaz, etc.), government and technological leaders of the LNG industry take part in the event.
